Elana has worked and freelanced as a writer and editor for a variety of publications, including YM, Real Simple, B'nai Brith Magazine, and the Washington Examiner.
She is also passionate about cooking and, in particular, baking. Elana had side businesses supplying baked goods to an off-Broadway theater in New York City and baking special occasion cakes in Washington, DC. Every dinner party invitation she receives comes with a request to bring dessert, and she hosts her own parties just to try new recipes.
However, both careers were temporarily shelved when her triplets were born in late 2008. Now Elana stays home with them and prays they'll nap so she can get a little baking or cooking done…after all, company is coming for dinner.
