We do similar smoothies and often add wheat germ for a bit of an extra texture.

We have found that cinnamon (more than you might think if you're using strong-flavored fruits like berries) can turn a good smoothie into a super-yummy one. Since my toddler does the typical toddler thing of rejecting veggies, I've also thrown in frozen peas, finely chopped kale, and carrot juice (not all at once, though!)
