I agree with you. As a working mom, I don't have time to hover. My husband stays home, but my youngest is such a troublemaker, he can't spend lots of energy taking a highly active role in our kids' activities. It works for us, though.

Amen to all that. We've just decided to be even more hands-off with our 14-year-old, because he has to learn how to function from making his own mistakes. That takes even more courage and energy than swooping in. And agreed - who has time? 3 clients, 3 kids, 1 husband, a house that occasionally needs a damp rag wiped on it -- my motto is everyone and everything based on their needs to the best of my ability and when I can manage it.
